Rejoignez-nous pour une action contre le renouvellement de l’accord qui, depuis 2017, permet à l’Union européenne de déléguer au gouvernement de Libye la “protection des frontières européennes”, en alimentant le chaos dans un pays où les autorités, les milices et les trafiquants emprisonnent, torturent, violent, expulsent et tuent des milliers de personnes chaque année. Signé par le gouvernement italien, cet accord reflète les priorités de l’UE tout entière, qui finance et forme les garde-côtes et les milices en Libye afin qu’ils deviennent ses gendarmes, avec le soutien de l’agence européenne Frontex et l’aval humanitaire de l’Agence des Nations Unies pour les réfugiés (HCR) et de l’Organisation internationale pour les migrations (OIM).
Depuis octobre 2021, les réfugié.e.s bloqué.e.s en Libye protestent quotidiennement contre cette coopération et l’enfer auquel elle les condamne. Si rien ne change avant le 2 novembre 2022, le Mémorandum Italie-Libye sera automatiquement renouvelé jusqu’en 2025. En solidarité avec ces femmes et ces hommes, le 15 octobre manifestons nous aussi contre tous les responsables et les acteurs de cette coopération.

15/10 Stop the Italy-Libya agreement, it’s a shame for the whole European Union
Join us for an action against the renewal of the agreement that, since 2017, allows the European Union to delegate to the government of Libya the “protection of European borders”, fueling chaos in a country where the authorities, militias and traffickers imprison, torture, rape, deport and kill thousands of people every year. Signed by the Italian government, the agreement reflects the priorities of the entire EU, which is funding and training coast guards and militias in Libya to become its police, with the support of the European agency Frontex and the humanitarian endorsement of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
Since October 2021, refugees stranded in Libya have been protesting daily against this cooperation and the hell it condemns them to. If nothing changes before November 2, 2022, the Italy-Libya Memorandum will be automatically renewed until 2025. In solidarity with these women and men, on October 15 let’s also demonstrate against all those responsible and involved in this cooperation.

15/10 Stop de overeenkomst tussen Italië en Libië, een schande voor de hele EU
Doe mee aan een actie tegen de verlenging van de overeenkomst die de Europese Unie sinds 2017 toestaat de “bescherming van de Europese grenzen” te delegeren aan de regering van Libië, waardoor de chaos wordt aangewakkerd in een land waar autoriteiten, milities en smokkelaars jaarlijks duizenden mensen opsluiten, martelen, verkrachten, deporteren en vermoorden. De door de Italiaanse regering ondertekende overeenkomst weerspiegelt de prioriteiten van de EU als geheel, die kustwachters en milities in Libië financiert en opleidt tot haar gendarmes, met de steun van het Europese agentschap Frontex en de humanitaire steun van het vluchtelingenagentschap van de Verenigde Naties (UNHCR) en de Internationale Organisatie voor Migratie (IOM).
Sinds oktober 2021 protesteren de in Libië gestrande vluchtelingen dagelijks tegen deze samenwerking en de hel waartoe deze hen veroordeelt. Als er vóór 2 november 2022 niets verandert, wordt het memorandum Italië-Libië automatisch verlengd tot 2025. Laten we in solidariteit met deze vrouwen en mannen op 15 oktober ook protesteren tegen alle verantwoordelijken en betrokkenen bij deze samenwerking.

15/10 Stop all’accordo Italia-Libia, una vergogna per tutta l’UE
Unitevi a noi per un’azione contro il rinnovo dell’accordo che, dal 2017, permette all’Unione Europea di delegare al governo della Libia la “protezione delle frontiere europee”, alimentando il caos in un Paese dove autorità, milizie e trafficanti imprigionano, torturano, stuprano, espellono e uccidono migliaia di persone ogni anno. Firmato dal governo italiano, l’accordo riflette le priorità dell’UE nel suo complesso, che sta finanziando e addestrando guardie costiere e milizie libiche a diventare gendarmi, con il sostegno dell’agenzia europea Frontex e l’appoggio umanitario dell’Agenzia delle Nazioni Unite per i Rifugiati (UNHCR) e dell’Organizzazione Internazionale per le Migrazioni (OIM).
Dall’ottobre 2021, i rifugiati bloccati in Libia protestano quotidianamente contro questa cooperazione e l’inferno a cui li condanna. Se nulla cambierà prima del 2 novembre 2022, il Memorandum Italia-Libia sarà rinnovato automaticamente fino al 2025. In solidarietà con queste donne e questi uomini, il 15 ottobre anche noi manifesteremo contro tutti i responsabili e i complici di questa cooperazione.
